The BCG Attorney Search Guide is the best resource for law students looking to apply to any of the top-50 law schools. Applying to law school myself, I found the BCG Attorney Search Guide contained comprehensive information on each of the top-50 law schools. The data gathered ranged from the LSAT scores and GPA to the clinical programs and the grading curves at each law school. In my case, the information about clinical programs and centers at each law school was helpful because I was in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). It definitely sped up my search, as I was previously limited to looking at the school's website for each law school I was applying to look for the same information. Additionally, the guide is particularly helpful in evaluating job prospects after law school. The guide provides statistics on the types of firms that employ students from each of the schools.

The BCG Attorney Search Guide will allow hiring coordinators to compare applicants from different law schools. For example, University of Iowa Law School does not have any or - designation for any grade categories except for the B range. Therefore, law students graduating from that law school may have lower GPAs when compared to their peers in similar positions from other law schools. It also breaks down the class rankings and explains what the different academic awards are for each of the top-50 law schools. This is useful information, as the criteria for summa cum laude or the names of the awards for the highest grades, for example, may not be the same.
